UI faculty hit the road for 'listening tour'

Researchers test whether Red Queen hypothesis makes species resilient

Over the years, evolutionary biologists have referenced the “Red Queen” hypothesis, which describes how living organisms, including humans, manage to survive in a changing environment by adapting through sexual reproduction. According to a University of Iowa researcher, the hypothesis is supported.

Thousands of students officially became University of Iowa alums this weekend, as commencement ceremonies took place across campus. University Communication and Marketing photographers and videographers took in the scenes at Carver-Hawkeye Arena, the Pentacrest, and other locations, helping to capture one of the happiest days on campus.
