The UI Sailing Club was established 50 years ago in response to the growing national popularity of recreational sailing. It was such a hit that the club hosted its first Big Ten regatta on Lake Macbride just one year later. A reunion is planned this summer.
UI study shows extra potential for cholesterol drug

A new study from lead investigator Jennifer Robinson, an epidemiologist in the College of Public Health, shows that a cholesterol drug may also be able to reduce heart attacks and strokes.

Four University of Iowa faculty members have won the 2015 President and Provost Award for Teaching Excellence. The recipients are Cinda Coggins-Mosher, Sara Sanders, and Kate Cowles, all in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and Marcy Rosenbaum in the Carver College of Medicine.
