Kasra Zarei, a University of Iowa sophomore from Coralville, has received a 2015 Goldwater Scholarship, the premier undergraduate award for students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. UI junior and Clive native Alexandra Bartlett received an honorable mention.

UI student expands field of study from global to universal

University of Iowa student Erin Maier has expanded her personal field of study from the globe to the universe, switching from International Studies and Chinese to Astronomy and Physics. Maier is one of 131 UI students presenting research Wednesday, April 8 at the UI Spring Undergraduate Research Fair .
