Registration has started for this year's Wildlife Camps at Macbride Nature Recreation Area. Sponsored by University of Iowa Recreational Services, the popular camps welcome students who have completed kindergarten through high school.
The camps started in summer 1985 to introduce area youth to the beauty and diversity of our natural world through hands-on activities. The ultimate goal is to guide each camper closer to a sound environmental ethic, an informed and conscientious concern for things wild.

The June, July, and August camps feature uniquely designed lessons and activities that utilize the natural areas available at Macbride and other local areas of ecological significance. All camps blend environmental education with outdoor recreation.
Many different options target campers of various ages. Campers will be transported by bus or van to Macbride and selected field sites.
