New study suggests exercise is good for the aging brain

University of Iowa researchers have found that a single bout of exercise benefits older people’s brains. In experiments in which participants aged 60 to 80 exercised once and multiple times, the researchers found some individuals showed improved cognitive functions and working memory.

New Study to Focus on Preventing Falls Through Elimination of High-Risk Medications

Researchers from the colleges of Pharmacy and Public Health received a $3 million grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to study falls of elderly people. The study aims to see if eliminating high-risk medications will reduce falls among the elderly.
