Orhon, Chancler to perform recital April 19

The University of Iowa School of Music will present a free recital by Volkan Orhon, UI associate professor of double bass, and pianist Rose Chancler at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 19, in Riverside Recital Hall on the UI campus. The program will include works by Nicholas Walker, David Anderson, Giovanni Bottesini, Gaspor Cassado, and César Franck.

UI industrial engineering doctoral student Howard Chen built a 3D bio printer at the UI's College of Engineering’s Center for Computer Aided Design's Biomanufacturing Laboratory. At the UI, 3D printing technology is being integrated into student learning in many ways.
