Clinton Street will be closed to through traffic from the intersection at Burlington Street south one block to Court Street, effective April 1 through August 26. Traffic should follow detour signs via S. Dubuque Street to Prentiss Street.

Inspired by Martin Luther King Jr.'s words, "Intelligence plus character—that is the goal of true education," Dubuque artist Adam Eikamp is creating a sculpture for the new UI West Campus Residence Hall with a curved shape representing "the creative and educational process."

There are 20 UI student research projects on display, with the students on hand to discuss them.

In a special event co-sponsored by the Mission Creek Festival, University of Iowa professor Kembrew McLeod and Brooklyn fiction writer D. Foy will read from their new books at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, in a free reading at Prairie Lights Books in downtown Iowa City. The reading also will be streamed live on the University of Iowa Writing University website.
