Since February, I’ve chaired the committee charged with identifying candidates for the next University of Iowa president. This week, we will conduct first-round interviews with a group of accomplished leaders, each of them a promising potential president. It’s an extremely talented pool of candidates with diverse backgrounds and ideas.

The Board of Regents made no objections to a proposed 3 percent increase in undergraduate resident tuition for the Spring 2016 semester. A vote on the proposed increase is expected at the September board meeting. The board also gives first-round approval to Kinnick renovation.
