The University of Iowa is allocating $4.9 million to boost faculty pay. The funds will help reach a goal of raising the average faculty salary for full-time tenured and tenure-track faculty to 95 percent of the median of the university’s peer group.

The University of Iowa’s chief diversity officer, associate vice president, and Title IX coordinator Dr. Georgina Dodge has accepted a position as associate provost for diversity, equity, and inclusion at Bucknell University, a private institution in rural Pennsylvania. She also will hold the title of adjunct associate professor of English.
Hans Breder, artist, founder of UI’s Intermedia program, dies at 81

Professor emeritus Hans Breder passed away Sunday at age 81. Breder founded the internationally renowned and highly influential Intermedia program in the UI’s School of Art and Art History in 1968; Breder directed Intermedia from its establishment until his retirement in 2000 and remained a prolific artist throughout his life.
