MBA students help Oak Ridge National Lab commercialize process that converts carbon dioxide to ethanol

A team of UI MBA students is working with the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee to determine the commercial viability of a process the scientists at the lab discovered by accident that turns carbon dioxide into ethanol and reduce the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
NASA astronaut to speak at UI Quad Cities center

NASA astronaut and Iowa native Peggy Whitson will discuss leadership when she speaks at the University of Iowa's Tippie College of Business Quad Cities center in Davenport at 6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 12. Whitson holds the U.S. record for most days in space and commanded the International Space Station.
Committee to host open forums discussing search for next vice president for research and economic development

The UI Office of Research and Economic Development on April 9–11 will hold an “Ideas Lab,” where it will bring together 30 faculty and staff members from various disciplines to develop strategies for slowing, stopping, or reversing opioid abuse among Iowans.
