The New York Times named Donna Stonecipher's Transaction History as one of the top 10 best collections of poetry in 2018. The book was co-edited by Mark Levine, associate professor of poetry in the Iowa Writers' Workshop, as part of the University of Iowa Press' Kuhl House Poetry series.
UI Libraries and student government collaborate to reduce textbook costs

UI Libraries and UI Student Government are easing some of the burden of high textbook costs with a collaborative project called the Textbook Affordability Pilot (TAP). Under TAP, a committee of library staff and UISG representatives collect donated textbooks and purchase new ones for “high impact courses.”

Yannick Meurice, professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Iowa, is co-author on a new study that describes a new approach to quantum computing. The method, based on systems of cold atoms that behave similarly to theoretical models in high-energy physics, could replace replace traditional computers.
