A NASA mission conceived at the University of Iowa is exploring how energized particles interact with Earth. The missions, called, Twin Rockets to Investigate Cusp Electrodynamics, or TRICE-2, launched earlier this month. They're exploring magnetic reconnection, the explosive process that allows charged particles from space to stream into Earth’s atmosphere.

The University of Iowa has removed the registered student organization status for the Kappa Sigma, Delta Chi, and Sigma Nu fraternity chapters, as well as the Sigma Alpha Epsilon colony.
