The University of Iowa School of Music will present “Music Through the Centuries,” a free concert of music for organ, harpsichord, and voice, at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 13, in Riverside Recital Hall on the UI campus. Students will sing a variety of solo vocal music from composers Monteverdi, Purcell, Handel, Bach, Boulanger, Faure, and Davidson.

The University of Iowa’s Hancher is collaborating with Iowa City’s Working Group Theatre on an ambitious community engagement project that will culminate in the presentation of The Broken Chord, a new play that explores issues of memory.

The performing arts component of University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Project Art will present a performance of works by Felix Mendelssohn, P.I. Tchaikovsky, and Mikhail Glinka in the atrium of the John Colloton Pavilion at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics at noon Monday, April 8.

The University of Iowa String Quartet Residency Program will present a free, public performance by the Cavani String Quartet and pianist Navah Perlman at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 11, in Riverside Recital Hall on the UI campus. The concert is part of the Cavani’s extended residency April 9-13 at the UI School of Music.

Women leaders from across campus—including UI faculty, staff, and students—will be honored at the UI Celebration of Excellence and Achievement Among Women at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, in the Iowa Memorial Union Second Floor Ballroom. The event is free and open to the public.

The University of Iowa School of Journalism and Mass Communication will induct two alumni—Dean Mills and Alan Waxenberg—into its Hall of Fame, the School's highest honor.
