Poet Brenda Hillman, alumna of the University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop, will present a free reading at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, in the Frank Conroy Reading Room of the Glenn Schaeffer Library, adjacent to the Dey House.

The University of Iowa will sponsor "Lessons in Drag" on Sunday, March 2, a performance that raises issues of gender and explores South Asian popular culture. The performance will be followed by a next-day panel discussion on March 3, exploring India's penal code that has widely been understood to criminalize homosexuality.

The University of Iowa Department of Theatre Arts will produce "Absurd Person Singular," a ferociously funny play by the master of British comedy, Alan Ayckbourn, as its next Mainstage production. Tha suggests our brain may process auditory information differently from visual and tactile information.
