After home football games this fall, North Dubuque Street will open two lanes to northbound traffic for 60 to 90 minutes in order to help accommodate fans leaving the city. Southbound traffic between Foster Road and West Park Road will be temporarily detoured.

Nancy Kraft watched the rain fall in May 2008 and felt a sense of foreboding. In the end, she and a chain of volunteers had to move books from the UI Main Library's basement to avoid the rising waters of the flooding Iowa River.
