The UI is using a new budget model for the General Education Fund to go into effect for the coming fiscal year, FY 2019. The model builds on efforts from previous years to create a collaborative, value-driven budget process, and gives colleges greater control over their budgets.

The University of Iowa has joined the American Talent Initiative (ATI), an organization founded to expand access and opportunities for highly talented low- and moderate-income students. As part of ATI, the UI will help develop strategies to attract, enroll, and support low-income students from before college to graduation and beyond.
