Iowa’s three regents universities have announced participation in a unique program to encourage sustainability in all aspects of higher education. Called the Sustainability, Tracking, Assessment, and Rating System, the program is administered by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education.

UI names Daniel Reed new VP for research, economic development

The University of Iowa on Tuesday named Daniel Reed, an executive at Microsoft Corp. and a longtime academic, as its next vice president for research and economic development. Reed will start on Oct. 15 and succeeds Jordan Cohen.
