There will be a lot more black and gold around Iowa City next week as the University of Iowa welcomes first-year students moving into residence halls. Student move-in likely will increase traffic and cause delays each day.

Construction company chosen for UI Stanley Museum of Art

In just a few years, the University of Iowa Stanley Museum of Art’s world-class collections will be brought home to support the education of UI students and enrich the lives Iowans. The bid for the new building was awarded to Russell Construction Co., Inc., of Davenport, Iowa.

UI moves to next stages of employment practices review

The University of Iowa has extended its contract with Fredrikson & Byron, P.A. to begin the next stage of the employment practices review. The Des Moines law firm will complete a modified review of the university’s academic and operational units as well as UI Health Care.
