For more than seven decades, the West family has supported and serviced music education for countless people of all ages throughout Iowa, the region, and internationally. Now, with a recent gift to the University of Iowa, the family is providing crucial support to one of the area’s most ambitious ever arts initiatives.

A day-long symposium focusing on the process and benefit of historic architectural salvage will be held Saturday, Nov 8, at Art Building West, 141 N. Riverside Dr. on the University of Iowa campus. Though free, registration for the conference is required by Nov. 6.
