At just one month old, Charlotte Wagaman of Keokuk, Iowa, began seeing University of Iowa Children’s Hospital cardiologists to determine the best treatment plan. The mass wasn't cancerous but needed to be removed to eliminate risk of heart attack, stroke, or sudden death.
