Board of Regents announces second finalist for UI presidency

Today the Board of Regents, State of Iowa, announced the second finalist to become the next president of the University of Iowa. Michael Bernstein, Ph.D., senior vice president for academic affairs and provost at Tulane University, will visit campus on Friday, Aug. 28.

The University of Iowa is taking an important step in its information security efforts: encrypting all UI-owned portable devices (laptops, tablets, and external storage) by the year’s end. The move helps to protect sensitive data if devices are lost, damaged, or stolen.

The University of Iowa transportation service Cambus has a new route to serve students living on the west side of campus. The West Dorm Shuttle will transport students from the new Petersen Residence Hall and neighboring dormitories to the east side of campus. The service begins Aug. 24.
