Williams helped to develop an online 360-degree performance assessment called the Four Capabilities Assessment tool that’s used by organizations to improve the leadership of potential managers. Her research focuses include: building, maintaining and repairing trust in team-based relationships and across demographic and organizational boundaries; sustaining high performing, cross-boundary relationships; gender equity within firms and across established and entrepreneurial ventures; factors affecting women as team members, boundary spanners, and business owners; and social construction of gender.
