Biography
Brett A. Faine, PharmD, MS, is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Departments of Emergency Medicine and Pharmacy Practice and Science at the University of Iowa, where he also serves as Director of Research Operations for Emergency Medicine and Program Director for the PGY2 Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Residency. A graduate of the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy, Faine completed a pharmacy practice residency at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and advanced training through the NIH StrokeNET program. His research focuses on emergency medicine pharmacotherapy, sepsis care, and antimicrobial stewardship, and he has published extensively in leading journals. Faine is an Associate Editor for the American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy and chairs the Iowa Medicaid Drug Utilization Review Commission. His contributions to education and practice have earned him numerous honors, including the Genesis Alumni Award and Outstanding Alumni Award from the University of Iowa.
