University of Iowa President Sally Mason met with reporters Tuesday, Aug. 26 at Jessup Hall as part of her regularly scheduled media availabilities.

During the 30-minute session Mason discussed the start of a new academic year, enrollment and progress on student outcomes; the recent dedication of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Diabetes Research Center; and updates on student safety initiatives and efforts to reduce binge drinking.
