University of Iowa open enrollment is underway for UI faculty and staff.

Open enrollment for faculty, professional and scientific, merit supervisory exempt, and merit confidential staff began Nov. 1 and runs through Nov. 15.

For merit staff, open enrollment runs now through Dec. 1.

There is no open enrollment for merit dental Insurance in 2015. Merit staff who do not want to make any changes in their benefits, and who want their annual spending account contributions to remain the same as those in 2014, do not need to take any action for this year's open enrollment.

For more information, including a schedule of short informational meetings focusing on gaining maximum advantage from your benefits, faculty and staff can see the “Open Enrollment” link in the "News and Events" area of the UI Benefits Office website.

To enroll online, staff should go to the Human Resources Employee Self-Service website, log in, click on “Benefits Enrollment,” and make their selections.

For merit staff to request an online open enrollment event, they simply select the link at the end of this paragraph,, enter their employee or university ID in the e-mail that opens, and hit “Send.” This event request must be sent from a university e-mail account in order for the UI Benefits Office to accept it. For merit staff to request a paper enrollment form, they simply select the link at the end of this paragraph, type their campus address and their employee or university ID number in the body of the e-mail, and hit the “send” button to submit the request.
