Legendary artist will perform music from throughout her illustrious career

The University of Iowa’s Hancher will present Roberta Flack on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 7:30 p.m. at the Riverside Casino & Golf Resort Event Center in Riverside.

Flack’s career took off in the early 1970s with huge hits like “Where Is the Love,” “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” and “Killing Me Softly with His Song.” With a sizeable collection of Grammy Awards and Gold Records to her credit, Flack has maintained her reputation as one of the most talented singers in popular music. Her most recent album is 2012’s Let It Be Roberta: Roberta Flack Sing the Beatles.

Flack’s performance is supported by the Hancher Partners and gifts to the Hancher Circle through the UI Foundation.

Tickets, which are $45/$35 for nonstudents, $40/$31 for senior citizens, and $40/$10 for college students, and $22/$10 for youth, are available from the Hancher Box Office. Located on the first floor of the south end of the Old Capitol Town Center near the parking ramp, the Hancher Box Office is open for phone (319-335-1160 or 800-HANCHER) or walk-up business from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays. Tickets may be ordered online at the Hancher website. Any remaining tickets will be available for sale one hour before show time at the Riverside Casino & Golf Resort Event Center.
