Thirty University of Iowa graduate and undergraduate students from the combined studios of School of Music faculty members Katherine Eberle, Gregory Hand, Rachel Joselson, John Muriello, Stephen Swanson, Elizabeth Oakes, Nicole Esposito, Volkan Orhon, and Andrew Parker will perform in “Music of the Baroque for Voice and Instruments” at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 31, in Riverside Recital Hall.

The concert is free and open to the public.

The concert will include oratorio arias from J.S. Bach’s St. Matthew Passion (partly prepared in the Topics in Vocal Performance Class), the St. John’s Passion, and the Christmas Oratorio. The students also will perform selections by Monteverdi, Handel, Vivaldi, and Mendelssohn.

The School of Music is part of the Division of Performing Arts in the UI College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
