The University of Iowa Museum of Natural History will begin its spring “Movies@MNH” series at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, with a free public screening of Cold Warriors: Wolves and Buffalo in Macbride Auditorium.
Watch the life-or-death encounters between these two ancient enemies that once roamed across the Great Plains in this PBS Nature documentary. Although much of their territory has been taken, it’s still survival of the fittest as these animals encounter each other in the wilds of Wood Buffalo National Park in northern Canada.
February’s film, Love in the Animal Kingdom, will air at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9. This PBS Nature documentary explores the romantic entanglements of blue-footed boobies, wolves, and everything in between as each animal tries to find the perfect mate.
