The University of Iowa School of Music will present a performance by a graduate jazz combo and the Jazz Repertory Ensemble starting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, in The Mill in downtown Iowa City.
Admission is $5 ($3 for UI students).
The jazz combo, directed by School of Music assistant professor Damani Phillips, will play the first set at 6 p.m. The Jazz Repertory Ensemble, a big band devoted to performing the works of the jazz mainstream directed by School of Music lecturer Brent Sandy, will follow with a set of standards and landmark compositions from jazz history.
The School of Music is part of the Division of Performing Arts in the UI College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
