University of Iowa Facilities Management will be conducting a series of short steam blows along Hawkins Drive, just north of the Wendell Johnson Speech and Hearing Center, starting at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, August 27, and ending by noon the same day.

During this four-hour time period there will be several short, loud steam blows similar to the sound of the noon whistle. A large steam plume will be visible. If the steam blow is postponed, an additional notice will be issued.

Buildings in proximity to this location are the Dental Science Building, Center for Disabilities and Development, University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, and Wendell Johnson Speech and Hearing Center.
