The northbound lanes of Madison Street, between Court and Burlington streets, will be closed March 6 through April 17 as part of a University of Iowa utility construction project.

One lane of southbound traffic will remain open, as will the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center drop-off zone and the northeast and southeast building entrances on Madison Street.

Access will be maintained to the driveways for the Engineering Research Facility and for Lovetinsky Harapat Auto Service. The Kum & Go driveway off of Madison Street will be closed.

To reach Burlington Street, northbound Madison Street traffic will detour east on Court Street, then north on Clinton Street. The sidewalk on the east side of Madison Street will be closed. Pedestrian traffic will be routed to the west side of Madison Street.
