The Chamber Winds ensemble in the University of Iowa School of Music will present a free performance at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, in Riverside Recital Hall on the UI campus.

The concert will be conducted by graduate students Carter Biggers, Eric Bush, Ernest Jennings, Kevin Kessler, and Steven Riley.

The program is as follows:

  • Overture to Barber of Seville by Gioacchino Rossini
  • Serenade No. 1, Op. 1 by Vincent Persichetti
  • The Merry King by Percy Grainger
  • Fanfare Canzonique by Brian Balmages
  • Canzon a 12 and Sonata pian’e forte by Giovanni Gabrieli
  • Excerpts from The Magic Flute by Wolfgang A. Mozart
