University of Iowa Belin-Blank Center Staff Psychologist Alissa Doobay received the 2015 the Esther Katz Rosen Grant.

The Ester Katz Rosen Fund was established in 1974 by a generous bequest intended to support “activities related to the advancement and application of knowledge about gifted children.”

Doobay’s grant proposal was for a one-year pilot study that will investigate the efficacy of a social skills intervention for improving social functioning of twice-exceptional adolescents in grades 9 through 12.

The Belin-Blank Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development is part of the UI College of Education.
