A University of Iowa search committee has announced the second candidate for the next associate provost for graduate and professional education and dean of the Graduate College.

Jennifer V. Blackhurst is associate dean for graduate and professional programs and the Leonard A. Hadley Chair in the Tippie College of Business. She is also a professor of business analytics. 

Blackhurst joined Iowa in 2014. Her research is focused on the areas of supply chain risk and disruption management, supplier assessment and selection, and supply chain design and coordination. In her role as associate dean, she leads efforts to develop and innovate graduate and professional education programs in the Tippie College of Business with a focus on student success, including relevance, accessibility, and affordability.

Blackhurst will meet with faculty, staff, students, shared governance, and campus leadership on Thursday, April 10. The campus community is invited to participate in an open forum from 9 to 10 a.m. in room 2520D of University Capitol Centre, 201 S. Clinton St.
