Stressed about your holiday gift shopping list? Don’t be. Plenty of great gifts are available for family and friends right here on the University of Iowa campus. Here are some Hawkeye-themed options perfect for everyone on your list.

Tickets to cheer on your favorite team

It’s always a great day to be a Hawkeye with all of our amazing athletics teams giving it their all, whether on the court or on the mat.

Men’s basketball tickets start at $20 per game for adults and $10 per game for ages 18 and younger. Season tickets for the women’s gymnastics team are $30. Tickets are also on sale for the second-ever home dual meet for the women’s wrestling team on Jan. 21. For spring sports, both season tickets and single-game tickets are available.

More ticket information can be found online here, calling 800-IA-HAWKS, or emailing tickets@hawkeyesports.com.

Iowa Hawk Shop swag

You can never have too much black and gold in your wardrobe, home, or apartment. You will definitely walk away from the Iowa Hawk Shop with gifts for everyone, from clothing, mugs, car accessories, pet items, and much more.

The Iowa Hawk Shop is located on the ground floor of the Iowa Memorial Union. Online information, including online order delivery, can be found here.

Showstopping performances

Sharing experiences can be the best gift of all. Hancher Auditorium has a fantastic slate of events remaining in its 2023-24 season, including big shows such as To Kill a Mockingbird (Jan. 19-21), Hairspray (Feb. 23-25), and Chicago (May 3-5).

More great finds are available at the Hancher Showcase, the auditorium’s gift shop that supports Hancher’s educational programming and offers unique gifts for all ages. Hancher Showcase is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays in December and on Wednesdays January through May. The store is also open 90 minutes before a performance and remains open after a show.

Memberships to great recreational facilities

With the weather remaining cold for the foreseeable future, some people on your shopping list may be thinking about changing up their workout routine. UI Recreation Services has four facilities across campus, with memberships available for anyone to use. Read more here.

Unique finds at UI Pentacrest Museums

The UI Pentacrest Museums has two gift shops, one at the Museum of Natural History and one at the Old Capitol Museum, with items everyone will love. Both museums are open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.

The Museum of Natural History shop includes animal plushies—including a baby Rusty the sloth—jewelry, rocks/gems, and many other science- or animal-themed gifts. The Old Capitol Museum shop includes apparel, books, quill pens, historic toys and games, and much more.

More information about UI Pentacrest Museums can be found here.
