A University of Iowa physicist is part of a research team that has won funding from the U.S. Department of Energy to continue to advance quantum science and technology.

Michael Flatté, professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, is a collaborator on the research team that received $5.4 million in new funding from the DOE’s Office of Science. The funding supports researchers who are developing the next generation of quantum smart devices and computer technology, which are critical tools to solving pressing national challenges.
