Cheng Cheng-kung was presented with the Outstanding University of Iowa Alumni Award during a ceremony in Taipei, Taiwan. UI College of Engineering Dean Alec B. Scranton presented the award.

Cheng is a distinguished professor of biomedical engineering and director of the Orthopedic Device Research Center at National Yang Ming University.
