The Iowa Student Information System (ISIS) will soon be known as MyUI, and its new website will serve as a hub for students to access several of the UI systems and tools they use most.

The new MyUI portal will launch in late April at MyUI.uiowa.edu. Once logged into MyUI, users will be able to perform the same critical tasks they could in ISIS—register for classes, view grades, pay U-Bills, apply for financial aid, perform degree audits, check course schedules or academic calendars, and make academic-advising appointments.

In addition to student information, MyUI will incorporate learning tools, including access to Iowa Courses Online (ICON), and links to a host of student life resources, like events calendars, real-time bus locations, dining menus, and maps.

“We are pleased to announce that the Iowa Student Information System (ISIS) is being replaced with a new student portal called MyUI,” says Lon Moeller, associate provost for undergraduate education. “MyUI will combine resources for student learning, student information, and student life into one location, making for a better and more convenient experience for students.”

The Iowa Student Information System was established in 1989. Last year, the UI began to minimize use of the ISIS acronym to avoid confusion with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, and in December the university decided to change the name and develop the new portal.

The campus is encouraged to update references to the Iowa Student Information System to reflect the new MyUI name and MyUI.uiowa.edu website. Traffic from the old site will be redirected as soon as the new portal is live.
