The University of Iowa Department of Dance will present its first dance concerts of the season, featuring the work of graduate and undergraduate students.
The performances will begin at 8 p.m. Thursday–Saturday, Nov. 19–21, in Space Place Theater (101 North Hall).

The…, choreography by Tessa Ritchey, who says "With quirky, gestural movement comes a dance about the struggle of writer’s block."
Total Eclipse, choreography by Calvin Windschitl
Mark of the Wolf Written by Eugene Kim, choreography by Alvon Reed. Mark of the Wolf is a short story written by EuGene Kim, a 2015 resident of the UI International Writing Program.
Sub-, choreography by Libby Westra. According to Westra, "This piece explores the hidden workings of the unconscious mind and the potential of a brewing idea to surface to consciousness."
Husk, choreography by Tori Lawrence, in collaboration with Emily Climer
A Story of a Story, choreography by Ainsley Tharp
Stand in the Valley, choreography by Rebekah Chappell, who notes that "Stand in the Valley is an autobiographical process, a way of letting go of uncertainties and tuning my attention to the present."
Can they and do they., choreography by Chris Yon and Taryn Griggs
