Homecoming 2015 at the University of Iowa provided no shortage of thrills for alumni, students, staff, faculty, and the UI community as a whole.
Students took part in a large-scale game of Capture the Flag on the Pentacrest, and raised a ruckus through activities hosted by Recreational Services. Traditions were found across campus, ranging from a large corn monument on the Pentacrest to the spelling out of "IOWA" across the face of Mayflower Hall. (Check out a cool time-lapse of the latter on the UI Facebook page.) The annual parade was a big hit with young and old, and Scottish synth-pop stars Chvrches wowed the crowd with a free concert in front of Old Capitol.
Come Saturday at Kinnick Stadium, the Hawkeyes put another game in the win column, defeating the University of Illinois Fighting Illini, 29-20, behind a workhorse effort from running back Jordan Canzeri and another commanding performance from quarterback C.J. Beathard.
