It’s On Us: Sexual Violence Education Summit
Iowa Memorial Union
9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
The "It's On Us" Summit is a one day, two-part event designed to bring together campus and community members, military leaders, and experts to discuss ongoing efforts and best practices in raising awareness and combating interpersonal violence issues in our communities. The keynote speakers are Maj. Gen. Paul M. Benenati, and YouTube MTV personality Laci Green. The summit will offer four breakout sessions: Intro into Bystander Intervention, Advanced Bystander Intervention, Engaging Men in Violence Prevention, and Trauma Informed Response.
Tuesday, April 28
The Clothesline Project
10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
The Clothesline Project is a vehicle for survivors of violence and those who care for them to express their experiences with interpersonal violence. Over the last 20 years, survivors of sexual and domestic violence have decorated T-shirts with messages about the violence they survived and their healing journey.

Take Back the Night
The march starts on the Pentacrest lawn in support of survivors and symbolically making the night safer. The event, which also features speakers and other activities, is co-sponsored by WRAC and RVAP.
