The Iowa Board of Regents has selected Pappas Consulting Group, Inc., to continue the review of two academic areas at the three public universities beginning in March. TIER, or the Transparent Inclusive Efficiency Review, identified several areas for review in academics.

In November, the board issued a request for proposal for a consultant to continue the analysis of the “Distance Education” and “Time to Graduation” opportunities identified in the Phase 1 of TIER. Due to scheduling conflicts, the previous consultant, KH Consulting, could not complete the analysis last year.

“Pappas has considerable experience in higher education and is very familiar with higher education in Iowa. The firm demonstrated a very thoughtful approach to completing the analysis,” says regent Larry McKibben.

The proposal from Pappas Consulting Group, Inc. is posted to the Iowa Board of Regents webpage.

“This decision was reached with significant input from the academic and faculty leadership from all three universities. I would like to thank them for their thoughtful input and overwhelming support of the selection of Pappas Consulting to complete the analysis,” adds McKibben.

The Pappas Consulting Group, Inc., was established in 1992 to serve the higher education and nonprofit sectors. Among their experienced consultants are professionals who have previously served as presidents, chancellors, executive directors, provosts, deans and vice presidents for finance, administration, student affairs, human resources, information technology, facilities management, and institutional advancement.
