University of Iowa Recreation and Sport Management lecturer Dan Matheson led 45 UI students to the Twin Cities for a business "field trip" Oct. 23-24.

The trip kicked off with question and answer panels with the Institute for Athletes and the Minnesota Wild. Day two included meetings with Minnesota Timberwolves and Twins executives.
UI students were able to attend a Minnesota Wild game and tour facilities like Target Field (home of the Twins), The Xcel Center (home of the Wild), and the Target Center (home of the Timberwolves).
