Setup and safety for the Tuesday's campaign visit by first lady Michelle Obama will affect access to University of Iowa facilities Tuesday, Oct. 21, between approximately 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.

A list of scheduled road closures and limited access to parking facilities follows:

Road closures

• Market Street will be closed west of Clinton Street
• Madison Street will be closed north of Jefferson Street

Parking restrictions

• Entry and exit restrictions will occur for the Lot 8, 18, North Campus Ramp and IMU Ramp from 11:30 a.m. to approximately 2 p.m.
• Alternative Parking: Employees with Lot 8, 18, 20, and 60 parking permits will be allowed to park in the Hancher Commuter parking lot on Tuesday if needed.

Public parking

Parking is available in the City of Iowa City parking ramps for members of the public who wish to attend the campaign event.
