The University of Iowa School of Music will present a free trumpet studio recital at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 9, in the University Capitol Centre Recital Hall.

The recital will feature all the students in the trumpet studio on solo works with piano. Some of the works on the evening’s program: Sonata for Trumpet and Piano by Halsey Stevens; Sonata for Trumpet and Piano by Kent Kennan; Concerto for Trumpet by Johann Neruda; Concerto for Trumpet by Johann Hummel; Heroic Marches by Telemann; and Suite for Three Trumpets by Tomasi.

The School of Music is part of the Division of Performing Arts in the UI College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
