Open forums will introduce candidates to the community

The search committee for the University of Iowa Alumni Association President/CEO has invited three finalists to interview with faculty, staff, students, and community leaders.

A public forum will be held for each candidate, with the first candidate visiting the UI campus today, Monday, May 5.

The first candidate is Paul Clifford, who is currently the associate vice chancellor for alumni relations and president/CEO of the East Carolina Alumni Association at East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C. He received his undergraduate degree in history from Bloomberg University of Pennsylvania.

Clifford’s public forum will be today, Monday, May 5, at 3:30 p.m. in the Morse Board Room of the UI Levitt Center for University Advancement (LCUA), with a reception following in the LCUA rotunda.

Each candidate has been asked to present on the topic of "Once a Hawkeye: Increasing Alumni Engagement at Iowa." Time will be provided for audience questions. The university community and general public are welcome and invited to attend the forums.

The second and third candidates will present public forums on the following dates and times, both also in the Morse Board Room of the LCUA: Candidate No. 2: Monday, May 12, at 3:30 p.m. Candidate No. 3 Wednesday, May 14, at 3:30 p.m. Information on the second and third candidates will be shared prior to each visit on the Alumni Association search website.
