“What If?” Public Forums to be held on Tuesdays, April 8-29

WHAT: A series of public forums wherein our researchers will examine different hypothetical scenarios and their unintended consequences, and present relevant research.

WHERE: Iowa City Public Library, Meeting Room A

WHEN: Each Tuesday from April 8 to April 29

Tuesday, April 8, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.—What if gas were $10/gallon in two to five years?

Tuesday, April 15, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.—What if we moved to a sustainable economy/society?

Tuesday, April 22, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.—What if everyone had health insurance?

Tuesday, April 29, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.—What if everyone voted?

WHO: Media and the general public are welcome to attend

WHY: The series is part of the Public Policy Center's (PPC)25th anniversary celebration year, fulfilling part of its mission to engage the public by sharing the expertise and resources of the PPC and the University of Iowa. A variety of thought-provoking topics have been chosen according to the PPC's areas of research and will be casually presented in hopes to stir a conversation with the audience.
