The University of Iowa School of Music will present a free performance by the University Band and Concert Band at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 10, in the Iowa Memorial Union Ballroom.
The University Band portion of the program will feature:
- Green Bushes by Percy Grainger, conducted by Carl Rowles
- Three Miniatures for Winds and Percussion by Robert Sheldon, conducted by Eric Bush
- Solas Ane by Samuel Hazo, conducted by Kevin Kessler
- Alligator Alley by Michael Daugherty, conducted by Kevin Kessler
- Brighton Beach March by William Latham, conducted by Eric Bush
The Concert Band will perform:
- Alleluia! Laudamus Te by Alfred Reed, conducted by Steven Riley
- An American Elegy by Frank Ticheli, conducted by Eric Bush
- Ghost Train by Eric Whitacre, conducted by Eric Bush
The School of Music is part of the Division of Performing Arts in the UI College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
