The University of Iowa School of Music will present a free performance by Kantorei, the University of Iowa's premier choral ensemble, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 8, in Riverside Recital Hall on the UI campus.
The concert, which will be conducted by Shannon Gravelle, graduate student in choral conducting and pedagogy, will feature a variety of genres, styles, and tone colors, and includes works by Maurice Ravel, Hugo Wolf, and Arvo Pärt.
Kantorei consists of about 30 graduate students. The ensemble presents four to five concerts on campus each year, as well as a number of off-campus performances.
The School of Music is part of the Division of Performing Arts in the UI College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
