A public memorial service for Randy Bezanson, University of Iowa professor of law and former university vice president, will be held Saturday, Feb. 15, at 4 p.m. in the Levitt Center for University Advancement.

Bezanson, a Cedar Rapids native and UI law alumnus, passed away Jan. 25 in San Antonio. He was 67.

Bezanson joined the UI law faculty in 1973 and was the university’s vice president for finance and university services from 1979 to 1984. He was dean of the Washington and Lee University School of Law in Fairfax, Va., from 1988 to 1994, after which he returned to the UI law faculty for good.
